The New Spring/Summer 2008 Inspiration Book and Catalog is here!

I just received this a couple of days ago and have already gone through it 20 times! It has some beautiful new paper collections and matchbook kits. These kits are already cut out on double-sided cardstock and include tabs and punch-out tags so you can assemble your own small scrapbook or journal. It is only $8.95.

I'll post more as I have more time to upload some of my favorite new items in the catalog.

If you'd like to receive one, let me know. They are $4.95 plus $2.00 shipping. I'll include a coupon for $4.95 off of your next $30 order.

Merry Christmas!

I wanted to wish you all a very Blessed Christmas with your families.

I have not been as active on this blog as I wanted. I am hoping that after the first of the year I will post new projects and ideas on a very regular basis. I'm hoping to get my hands on the new Angel Company catalog either today or the 26th. I'm excited to see it. I've heard that we will now carry the Bind-It-All and the Scor-Pal. I am thrilled about that. I just bought the Scor-Pal last month and don't know how I ever lived without it. And, the Bind-It-All was on my wishlist for Christmas this year...so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for it tomorrow :-) I'll post an update about the catalog once I receive it and had a chance to scour through it.

Have a very Merry Christmas!!!!!!!

Color Inspiration

Some of you have asked how I choose what colors to use for my cards and projects. I find inspiration for color schemes everywhere...catalogs, magazines, clothing, advertisements. You can see what the current color trends are by looking at new ads in print and on TV. I was looking through the Target Holiday Catalog last night. The cover caught my eye. I loved the greens and reds used. You could easily make a card using the different shades of green. I don't think my picture shows the colors as well as I'd like. At first, chartreuse wouldn't be a first choice of a Christmas green. But, I really like how adding this color to the green and olive shades work great together. Play around with different colors and see what you come up with.

Here is a card we made at my Christmas in October class using similar shades of green.

Supplies used: Heart Sings set, Tag Tidbits set, watercolor pencils, circle punch and Coluzzle, Crystal stickles, pop dots, grey marker, Noir and Landscape Palette ink pads

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

I hope you all have a very blessed Thanksgiving with your family. I always enjoy this time to reflect on how thankful I am to God for my family and everything in my life. I hope you enjoy your day and all of that yummy comfort food.

Here is a quick scrapbook page from the Fall Supplement created by another TAC demonstrator, Julie Griffith. She used TAC's Cha Cha paper collection, Cha Cha ribbons and hardware and the Count Your Blessings and Lolabet stamp sets to complete this page.

I had my Gifts Class last night where we made 7 different projects. I always have so much fun at my classes. I love getting a chance to talk with everyone and stamp a little bit. This was one of the projects that we made. It is an altered binder clip where you could display a picture or a card. It would be really cute to have a different one made for each child or grandchild and show them off on your mantle during the Holidays.

We made different versions of the binder clip on the right using TAC's Amelia Paper collection. We just attached little pieces of the Amelia patterned paper [1 7/8"x 7/8"] with adhesive to both sides of the clip. I then just added a cute phrase from TAC's Ribbon Words stamp set in Palette ink on a separate piece of paper, added a pewter brad and taped it to the patterned paper. We then tied various pieces of ribbon around the clips so they remain closed. Very easy and really cute. The binder on the left is using paper from TAC's Just Like Dad paper collection. I'll try to upload more pictures over the next few days.

Entering the blogging world

I've debated on doing this for a long time...I so enjoy reading other people's blogs about stamping or scrapbooking. There's so much inspiration out there. I'm hoping that I can include some of my stamping thoughts and show some things I've made in my classes and workshops. So, here I go...
